Evidence-led discussion

Use comments to ask relevant questions, identify errors and share practical observations about the article. State uncertainty and distinguish firsthand experience from a source claim. Cite a source by title, author and year; editors can assess it and add a reference through the editorial system.

Accountability and moderation

Sign in with your publisher-provisioned account, choose a public display name and consent to publication. All submissions enter a private queue. An editor checks relevance, evidence, spam and personal information before approval. An authenticated account is not proof of professional identity or expertise.

What is not accepted

No links, email addresses, HTML, Markdown links, scripts, attachments, advertising, impersonation, harassment, sensitive personal information or unlawful content. Disguised and spaced-out links are also prohibited. Automated filters may reject text that resembles a link; human review remains necessary. Comments are limited to 2,000 characters and five submissions per account per hour.

Your control

Only approved comments are public. Use My comments & data to view, export or delete your submissions. To correct a comment, delete it and submit a replacement. Pending comments expire after 90 days; approved comments expire a year after approval. See the privacy notice.
