Reading the reference

The application does not add advertising, analytics, marketing pixels, remote fonts or social tracking embeds. Our hosting, delivery and identity providers necessarily handle requests and may process network information, including IP addresses, browser details and security logs, to deliver and protect the service. External source links take you to independently operated websites.

Signing in and commenting

Sign-in uses publisher-provisioned local accounts. The application stores an account identifier, email address, display name, salted password hash and expiring session records. Password reset and account removal are handled by the publisher. Account data is retained while the account is active; contact the publisher to request removal. Sign-in attempt counters use hashed identifiers and expire after 15 minutes. The comments database stores your account identifier, chosen public display name, comment text, article identifier, moderation state, submission and expiry dates, and the consent notice version. It does not copy your account email or IP address into comment records. The editorial account identifier and editorial revision history are stored separately to protect and maintain the reference.

Submitting a comment is optional. We request your consent to store it, review it and publish its text and chosen display name after approval. Do not include confidential information or another person’s personal data. Your account identifier and moderation queue are not publicly displayed. Public comments may be read or copied by others; deleting the original cannot guarantee removal of independently made copies.

Purpose and lawful basis

Comment handling and public display are based on the consent given at submission. You can withdraw that consent and delete your comments using My comments & data, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Essential delivery, authentication, abuse prevention and editorial accountability rely on the operator’s legitimate interests in providing a secure reference, subject to applicable law and an assessment of those interests. No automated comment approval or profiling is performed.

Retention

Pending comments expire after 90 days. Approved comments expire 365 days after approval. Expired records are excluded from display and removed from the application database when the comment system is next accessed. Rejected comments are deleted by the moderator. You can delete your own comments earlier. Account-based submission counters expire after two hours and are cleaned up on subsequent comment access. Provider logs and backup retention are separate from application deletion.

Service providers, transfers and infrastructure retention

The service runs on the publisher’s selected server and uses local account authentication. Hosting, DNS, certificate and any backup providers form part of its delivery chain. Provider roles, processing locations, contracts, international-transfer safeguards, security-log retention and backup deletion must be assessed by the publisher.

The publisher’s provider and transfer disclosure is awaiting completion; comments remain closed.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing. Use My comments & data to export or delete your comments. To correct one, delete it and submit a replacement, or contact the operator. Other rights requests can be sent to info@woodplasticcomposite.net. Requests are normally answered within one month; lawful extensions and identity checks may apply. You may complain to the data protection authority where you live or work, or where an alleged infringement occurred.

We do not request sensitive personal data or offer comments for children. Do not submit comments if you are under 18. This is a participation rule, not an age-verification guarantee.

Updates

Changes to data use require review of this notice and, where appropriate, renewed consent. Adding optional trackers requires a separate consent mechanism before they are loaded.
