Counting recycling passes is useful only when the processing history behind each pass is known.

Track the fraction of reprocessed material and the conditions of each controlled trial. Test against a clearly defined baseline and record dimensions, process stability and relevant mechanical responses. Avoid reporting only the property that improved.
