What evidence is needed for reading SEM fracture surfaces in WPC research?

Scanning electron microscopy can support an explanation of a composite fracture, but an image should not be asked to prove more than it shows.

Retain representative images with scale bars and specimen identity. Compare controlled samples and include observations that do not support the preferred explanation. Link microscopy to mechanical measurements rather than using visual impressions as a substitute for them.
