What evidence is needed for welding wood-polymer composites: compatibility first?
Thermoplastic welding concepts cannot be applied to every WPC product without qualification.
Use a competent joining specialist and a process designed for the material. Test representative joints with appropriate conditioning and inspect the failure mode. Compare the joint's behaviour with the actual application requirements rather than with appearance alone.
