Practical method #
Separate cutting waste, handling contingency and future replacement stock in the quantity schedule. Diagonal edges, short returns and picture-frame borders change the usable yield. Count clips, starter fixings and fascia independently rather than scaling every item by board area. For an illustrative apartment terrace, a few documented full-length spare boards may be more useful than a box of short offcuts. Confirm where spares will be stored and who owns them.
